Product Development Process
Timeline – With efficient communication, the complete process from brief to approved order ready sample(s) takes approximately three months.
Quality Assurance – The Product Development process finishes with (a) sample(s) to be approved for mass production. But we also consider Master samples as a QC tool. They eliminate factory interpretation and random product revisions decided by technicians, and so ensure that all mass-produced items match the original. Our goal is to deliver (a) flawless samples, giving you complete confidence to place your order AS WELL AS securing consistency and accuracy over time, between production batches and between fresh deliveries and the products in your warehouse.
The Process
Phase 1: Design on Demand
- Product Brief – Share your vision, whether it’s a picture or full technical drawings. The more detail you provide, including annual volume and target prices, the better the result. The brief sets the quality standard for the final product.
- Outline Drawings & Illustrations – We create 3D models and dimensioned drawings for your approval before producing detailed production drawings.
- Production Drawings – We produce a complete set of production drawings and you sign them off.
- Factory Criteria – Defined by your annual volume, MOQ per SKU, compliance needs, and required lead times.
Phase 2: Factory Funnelling
5. Factory Selection – We identify 10 potential factories. Through visits we assessing technology, experience, and understanding of drawings. The top three are selected for quotes.
6. Packaging & Cost Details – Specifications for finish, packaging, and other cost drivers are finalized.
7. RFQ (Request for Quote) – Comprehensive RFQs are sent to the top three factories to avoid later misunderstandings. Quotations are received.
8. Negotiation – We analyze factory pricing, negotiate directly with decision-makers, and adjust drawings to reduce costs where feasible. Revised drawings are signed by all parties.
Phase 3: Sampling
9. Sampling – Samples are requested from the best factories once pricing is confirmed. We provide technical drawings, 3D files for CNC use, and critical checklists to ensure accuracy.
10. Sample Inspection – You can inspect the sample(s) during a visit to Vietnam or via video call. If you visit we conduct a thorough inspection a week before you arrive, so we can iron out shortcomings if any identified. Upon approval, Master Samples (three copies) are signed by all parties and used as QC/QA references in production, as well as reference for you checking arriving shipments.
